As you can see from the leafless trees, these photos are a bit old-- from Easter weekend. My Texan boyfriend came home with me so I got to show him some of the sights of Indianapolis! We spent most of the day at the zoo but we also walked along the beautiful canal.

Sprinkly Nails + Nail Polish Giveaway!

When I first spied Deborah Lippman's Candy Shop in my latest issue of Nylon Magazine, I was infatuated. I loved how it looked like sprinkles on a cake. I immediately tried to re-create it with the (much cheaper) nail polishes that I own!

Sure it's a lot less sparkles, but I think I like it better. If only the glitter was rainbow instead of jewel-toned, it would be perfect!!

AZ Vintage

A few weeks ago I went to the one-year anniversary celebration of my favorite Bloomington shop-- AZ Vintage! The moment I walked in a year ago I fell in love with the bright colors and patterns of the awesomely curated vintage clothing. In addition, there's tons of bright dishes and cool accessories like jewelry and scarves! Best of all, the prices are great-- not too expensive for some pretty quality stuff.

I'd kill to have this store as my closet! Needless to say, I've bought some cute things, like this floral dress and this tropical scarf!

There's also a great collection of vintage art, especially old paint-by-number pictures-- which are unexpectedly charming.

And meet the fabulous hostess and owner of the store-- Alison Zook!! She's super friendly and sweet and I always love talking to her whenever I stop by.

If you ever find yourself in Bloomington, IN, you should definitely check it out!!

Leaf it to Me

I think Miranda Priestly (in The Devil Wears Prada) said it best: "Florals?? For spring? GROUNDBREAKING." As much as I love flowers, sometimes I just need a good leaf pattern. It's a refreshing change. But of course I would never give up my bright colors!

 I love this leafy dress even though it's too short to wear without something underneath. With my silver leaves necklace and my new favorite hairstyle, I'm set for a "groundbreaking" spring day!

Angryhouse

Yesterday my boyfriend Dan released his newest EP and held a summer cookout to celebrate. I wish you all could have been there! The weather was gorgeous and there was plenty of good music and great company.
